    Default high-power violet scanning a glow-paint wall?

Based on this video, it might be a nice new show feature to set up a glow-painted wall and paint it using a laser from a blu-ray burner (high-power). The effect is totally different from loop-scanning, as the image slowly fades out, so wouldn't need to be re-painted at as fast a rate. Rather complex graphics could be painted due to this, even pages of text.

What do you think, is it feasible?

Sure would be cool to try... Maybe if Marconi will bring one of the 30 mw 405 nm Maxyz modules to FLEM Mark II we could give it a shot. (Guess we'd need to paint a sheet of plywood or something with that glow-in-the-dark paint too..)

I tried that with a 12"x12" phosphor plate and the 24mW 405nm maXYZ. Works like a charm! Nice blue/green color!

I read that the diodes only cost about $8 now. So, it won't be long.

That isn't the point. The point is that the prices are getting dirt cheap and you'll be able to get a blue ray burner for next to nothing soon. Then you can harvast diodes at will.
