    I have the DAC section laid out; needs analogue bits placing.

    I'm going to distribute this as a Pad2Pad .pcb file so that anyone else who wants some can just do one-click ordering... it's straightforward and easy. I'm also (for another project) committed to making a video that explains the easy and straightforward way to solder SMT components that's actually easier and quicker than doing PTH work, and uses an ordinary, completely usual soldering iron.

    And for Steve's comment about the sole source... we could get a chipset for the sound card DACs or even turn one of these USB micros into a sound card to form the basis for a budget DAC... .

    We tried to get the chipset, and its pretty much sole source. That is why we want the microcontroller.

    What percentage is the planning if this competed? 50? 80? more? less?

    How long until a prototype can be expected?

    how will the hardware stack up to a Riya?
