Does anybody know how to add an energy to a laser beam, useing the beam as a carrier for the energy? Is it even possible to do so?

Isn't it already energy? Just increase the power if you want more.
There is a way, but the beam isn't the carrier, but a trigger for another beam.
The big laser at the Lawrence Livermore place does this. The source is small, but it triggers stimulated emission in larger lasers, and the output is huge.
