PC to galvos - inotherwords, download prog> ether or serialport to the slikyy epoxy black box that has 3 pairs: 1] 4 the blanking, 2] 4 the galvos.. Tall order huh? Y'all think there would be any $ for a person who invents this?

No idea what you are asking.
lose all the bullshit inbetween- intergrate eveything-> from-> the PC to the lasers/ gavos (including the galvo power-amps) --simplify--
Steve I think what we got is as simplified as it is going to get. PC w/software->DAC->galvos/lasers... What do you want to get rid of? You can put the DAC in the PC or the PRojector but it still has to be in the loop. Or you get one of the analog boards to control the galvos and lasers... I think I may send you a Laser FX to take apart.
Love, peace, and grease,
allthat... aka: aaron@pangolin
I like the way it is componentized so that I can choose to use Pangolin or Moncha or whatever. That wouldn't be possible with an all in one solution. At least not until there was some standardization on the interface... something I am strongly for.
Or, there are the PCless solutions, FB3, the Riya one with the LCD screen, and Pangolin has another one with the CD player. They all get rid of the PC and run shows stored on some type of media but are playback only. You still have to make the show somehow.
just throwing ideas out into the wind after toddy-time. I gotta quit doing that heh..
Nothing wrong with that. It is call brainstorming.
Is that brainstorming or boozestorming? Just checking...

Funny Adam, you ought to be a comedian hehe
