    Default EasyLase enclosure??

Has anyone made an EasyLasy enclosure? I have one and it has the DMX attachment. I'd like to put it in a box and would like to hear from other EasyLase owners before I reinvent the wheel.

    Hi,

    I used a Hammond box - 1598BBK
(looks like the box the non OEM version of Easylase used to come in)

Should be available in the USA from Newark + others....
This is a 2 part plastic case with aluminium end panels.
The Easylase user manual gives a template for cutting the USB, Power & ILDA holes.
Just print, trace, chain drill then file....
You would have to put the DMX connector somewhere on the back panel.

The 25W socket holds the board well at one end.
The other end I used two 10mm long threaded pillars - already screwed to the PCB then surrounded at their base with epoxy once the board was fitted to the front panel and the front panel seated in the slot in the bottom half of the case.

    Regards,
    Robin

Thanks. That looks like it will work pretty well. I'll need to double check that the DMX portion will fit and then order it.
