I sometimes see a 'Floater' just after i've been to the toilet

Does this mean anything ???

I actually thought floaters were bits of dirt/fluff etc on the fluid on the front of the eye.

Sorry, it's just my sick sense of humour... These are the sort of floaters that just won't flush away... surely it can't just be me...

The 'real' floaters are, as previously mentioned, generally just bit's of protein swimming around in the fluid inside the eyeball.

Urghh... Now I have a vivid image in my mind. If it's anything like the alsatian down our road it's tail must be at least a foot long

I heard they're dead cells floating in the aqueous liquid in the eye itself, but, IIRC...

After looking into this (extensively) I found absolutely no indication that lasers could be the cause of floaters. It is much more likely that the big floater was caused by rubbing the eye, something I did a lot that night as if I could rub the exposure away. The eye dr. has looked at the retina and has not detected any abnormalities. Also the eye dr. could see the floaters and said it was normal even at my age.

When a laser hits your eye it will cook an very small area on your retina, maybe the burned retina tissue can get loose end cause floaters.

After my accident it looks like I see more floaters than I had before, but maybe it's just because now when I see the small dot I also "search" for more anomalies in my eye.
