Hey Rob, that's brilliant - i'm in awe of your talent Have you done that in Mamba?

Never heard of Groove Armada before (how sad am I?), but that music is brilliant - i've gotta go and get me some!

I'm still awaiting confirmation from my mates as to who's going to the Floyd show, If I don't hear from them this week i'm going to book some tickets anyway as I don't want to miss it.

    Cheers

    Thanks
    I too love the music
No bounce mirrors (but a wall as a screen) its just done with a pair of scanners and 4 camera angles - oh and RGB laser of course

Thankyou but I would prefer Groove Armada to be in awe of my talent and yes its all the work of Mamba Black. It was originally written about 18months ago (the show) and was designed for single colour so the colour has been added afterwards - so its not exactly as I would have done it from scratch but its good and im pleased with it. As with all these things there are bits I really love and bit that im not entirely happy with - maybe one day I will address those.

I assure you that you have heard them even if you havent heard of them! Their music is ubiquitous on TV in programmes and in commercials.
M&S 'This is not just food...' - Groove Armada
Renault ' I see you baby - shakin' that ass' - Groove Armada
There are more examples but I will let you discover them. They are primarily a dance band but make a huge range of music that could go into different genres. They use lots of sampled vocals as well as guest vocalists from rappers to classic soulsters such as Richie Havens. The two core members, Cato & findlay, famously do turns DJing, and I personally think that Andy Cato is a very talented musician and can seemingly turn his hand to many an instrument. Whenever they are live and he picks up his trombone for 'at the river' (the M&S ad) the crowd go wild and he lapps it up.
Most of their albums have a track or 2 that I cant bear to listen to but otherwise the quality is high. I would plum for thier greatest hits as an introduction - maybe not thier new album as it seems to have a lot of remixes on that I dont always care for - but then you may. Otherwise go for 'Vertigo' (contains the track from the laser show), 'goodbye country (hello nightclub)' or for a good mixed bag 'lovebox'.

As for aussie floyd - dont hang about to book the tickets - make sure you get a good spec. I dont know if you have seen them before - I have several times - but they are very good.

I have done this editing with the other laser show clips on youtube - it just adds some more dimension to the video rather than a single viewpoint.
