    Default Autostart Adapter C315M

    Hi,

we just successfully killed the Autostart Adapter of our C315M Laser. There was some rubbish plastic screw to control the output power - it broke when we tried to use it .

Have any of you ever written a software to control that laser? Or do you have any clever ideas how else we can fix that problem?

    Cheers,

    Dom
The message is that there are known knowns, there are things that we know that we know, and there are known unknowns, that is to say there are things that we now know we don't know, but there are also unknown unknowns, there are things that we do not know, we don't know.

    Hi Dom

Software alone is only really any good if you have the digital controller (DC). Even then there's limited capability with the DC that barely makes it worthwhile writing a program, I simply use a terminal program to control mine. Commands such as 'On', 'Off' and 'SetPower' are probably the only ones you are likely to use.

There is a section on Sam's FAQ specifically relating to the C315m autostart adapter, if you look that up there are schematics available that may assist you to repair yours.

    Cheers

    Jem
