    Default Second Chance

All, I was bidding on ebay for a laser which I did not win. I even got up at 5 this morning so I could finish bidding but I calculated the time wrong and the bid ended at 4 am instead. SO I missed out....so i thought anyway. Later today I get a "Second chance" to buy it.

I dont understand this because why do I get a second chance if someone already won it. Is this a complete con and why does ebay allow this second chance crap happen. Why do I get a second chance, is it because the other bidder is fake and they were hoping to bump up the price but when they get stuck with winning they give it back to the highest genuine buyer. WTF ?

The lot I got a second chance to buy is http://tidyurl.net/q0Hsm

What do you guys think, should I got for it? they want $680 for it. Is that a good deal, are they a repuatable company?

    Cheers All.

A second chance offer can be used

    a) when the original buyer doesn't want it
    b) when there are more than one item to sell

    Your case falls under b)

    BTW, its TTL

Doesnt it say "This laser will operate in CW mode as well as TTL Modulation."

    Doesnt that mean Anaouge?

    What does CW stand for?

I wouldn't buy off extreme ever again.
I had a blue that went faulty and they wanted a fortune in postage just to look at it...... then quote for a repair.
This was within a month of getting it.

Don't need to steer clear of CW lasers. even analogue modulation lasers are CW. The other option to CW is pulsed i.e big YAGS and copper vapour lasers!

TTL is either full on or full off.
    Analogue is variable brightness.
If you are going to build a full colour projector you need to use analogue laser, TTL units will limit you to 7 colours.

Both my Green and reds are analogue thankfully. I get excited and buy things rashly and randomly and somtimes make mistakes. The blue will obvoulsy have to be Analogue also...just being a bit more patient ( and trying to be wise ) when buying this one. WIll probably get a CNI in the end though :0)
Somthing about CNI lasers that seems so MMMMM.
