Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a laser systems reseller by trade and a home laser builder by hobby.

My business offers several manufacturers of DPSS systems, goggles/glasses, components, industrial YAG/CO2 systems and miscellaneous parts and pieces. Since I did not sign up to advertise my business you won't get the URL unless you are interested. I state my business so you know I have a pretty extensive background in a variety of systems.

On the hobby side, I own several DPSS systems and have built several pulsed systems (primarily YAG) and have a couple of youtube videos of some in operation. As I write this I'm kinda glancing at the 6mm x 79mm YAG rod and dual flashlamps that will probably be in my next system sitting here on my desk.

I am also a part time PhD student working on a degree in physics.

That's a bit about me. Look forward to adding my 2 cents here and there.

The guys here have helped me a great deal over the past nine months.

It really is an international forum with guys from all over the world coming together for a laser (and other) chat almost daily.

Be careful this forum is very infectious I have noted given the different time zones around the world that there may be more than one member at work at any given time but on line !!!!!

Sounds like you've got some impressive toys. If you've got some pictures you'd like to share, well, what can I say? We like pictures!

What do you use your home-built systems for? Are you more into holography or laser shows? And how many Gilletes have you burned holes in so far? (I'd be interested in a picture of that!)

Do you do SHG work with KTP at all? Or mostly just work with straight IR?
We are interested in posts from people who do SHG work; especially
