Default Looking for a good +/-15v diff power supply

Does anyone have for sale a differential power supply capable of putting out a good clean +/-15v (100mA min) with a central ground not too far away from 'earth'.?

I have one but the ground is shifted by about 10v and it's creating problems when connecting it to my data acq box.

    Power One HCAA-60W linear (5 VDC @ 6A, +/- 15 VDC @ 1A). PM me if you are interested.

dos the one you have not have any means of making the 0v the same as ground ie cant you tie them together?
Is it a switch mode supply or a linear?

That's a very good question - and I had thought about it. Surely if I try to tie the +10v floating GND to 0v GND wouldn't there be some power dissipation (or something bad)?

My electronics skills are very basic, and so I'm not sure how to deal with it.

My medialas DAC can deal with it somehow, as it's able to communicate between my laptop and the galvo amps...

The PSU is the one supplied with the 20K scanners from lasershowparts.

Many switchers have the outputs tied to GND so that there is a proper earth reference that all the electronics can see. I would say you should be ok to do this as the voltage on it is only there because it is floating and floating means it has no relationship with the thing you are measuring it against, therefore its not a real value. You need to be careful that the hv side of the PSU and the lo volts side are isolated - and I'm sure they will be however.....

...drop Dave a PM and ask the question. A simple yes will allow you to connect it to earth safely and will solve your problems

Actually it is a relevant link, if you take it at face value, but for some reason the "href" portion points to facebook...

    Ok I see now

    Insult reversed

That circuit is nothing short of common or garden and easy to build - however I bet once you have a definitive answer from down under you wont need to build anything
