I keep seeing TTL written on this site, but no explaination. Are we talking about Transistor Transistor Logic, or a company named TTL that makes laser equipment?

    Also, what does ILDA mean?

TTL (transistor transistor logic) is used somewhat loosely to indicate that the laser has on/off control only and does not support fully variable (analogue) modulation.
An RGB system with TTL lasers will provide 6 colours (Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta and White) An analogue system can provide hundreds or even thousands of colours.

ILDA stands for the International Laser Display Association.

Commonly when referring to hardware it means the projector has a standard pinout 25 way connector for the X, Y, R, G, B and blanking signals and that these signals have voltage levels corresponding to to an open standard.

When referring to software it indicates that a frame or animation file is in a particular format corresponding to an open standard (with the extension .ild)

Lasers and beer don't mix. After 2 beers I lose coherence.
