You cant do the morph in the editor you need to do it in the show timeline as a scene by following steps.
a: create your first frame with your line and colour as you wish to blue.
b: copy the frame and recolour the line in frame 2 to yellow
c: place into the show timeline where you want it
d: select start frame to be blue line frame number and end frame to be yellow frame number
e: select scene kind moprh start frame to end frame and play - Voila that should do what you want.

I have VST1.63 and it works fine with a Trust webcam and a small video camera that will act as a webcam so no preference here - you probably dont want too high quality as there will be too much info to process.

This *may* be a feature in the future but is not currently allowed with Mambas architecture.

    Hope this helps

Just a couple while we are on the subject

Can sound to light be done in Mamba, for synchronizing beam changes? i.e play a series of made frames and the frames only change on adjustable beat times?
I can sort of do this in Freestyler using DMX control be it only with pre-programmed patterns within my DMX board and using the sound to light function within the Freestyler program. It works very well but unfortunately only with the pre-programmed stuff.

Plus, can MB also produce sinewaves without building them up in the editor?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Smog,

Please post your first question here: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ead.php?t=3927

    Yes, Mamba can do sinewaves!
-Drag your scene to the timeline >
    -Click Add Effect Track >
    -Click Add Effect >
    -Select Sine >
    -Adjust your sine!

If you use liveplayer you can assign any frame or scene sequence, (or indeed show) to a keyboard trigger. I use a Midi keyboard for the triggers and you can assign a full 49 key keyboard. You design your content and then load it as a keymap if you like and you can playalong live - its fooking great! and within live player you can change the speed and colour of the imported keyassigned content, and do some 'live' controll using the pitchbend and modulation wheels if your KB has it. My keyboard is an evolution which I picked up for about £20 though mine uses midi in to the gameport of a PC. I have not tried the newer generation of usb midi keyboards so cant comment on if you can make this work with a laptop that has no gameport.

You can do sines with the effects track and add a sine effect - its a bit limited but does work and will work on shapes as well as lines which can lead to some interesting and cool output

    Thanks again for the replies.

I've had a fiddle with the Live Player Rob and have purchased me sen these for the Midi control:-

    http://www.behringer.com/BCR2000/index.cfm

The BCF2000 is the dog's - it has motorized faders so presets are fully returnable too

Will have a play tomorrow with the sine effects. One of the coolest projections I have seen was at the UKLEM and was of a slowly moving sinewave with the colours morphing through it as it moved from left to right - it was SO cool!!

This is a still from what I am yackin about but it don't really do it much justice unfortunately:-

just a wild guess but from the position of the projector in the pic it looks like Mark (insanity) and hes a Pango boy thru and thru.
Yep sines look cooool and can be done with mambo just not as quickly as some others. (alphalite has a good sine generator - its one of a few really cool things it does though its only TTL colour)

    Rob

PS that looks a pretty cool bit o kit - I look forward to youre results

I think your right Rob, it was Marks rig.

The midi controllers are about £100 off of Ebay Rob and WELL worth it.
Very robust and really easy to use for what we want them for.

    Hi Whiteg,

I have all the music files for you !
Please give me a FTP address and I will upload them for you.
They are approx 5MB each file, so too big to send them by email or PM
