That's OK with me as long as I do eventually get an update.

I do find that a bit funny that a professional company such as MediaLas has limited server space and bandwidth.
Surely it would be more cost effective to have the limit increased to be able to properly support its customer base. Not that I am moaning about it, just a little impatient as I want to be able to use Mamba Black, something that I have not been able to do since May 2008.

In my opinion they had been spent too much time and energy to correct the bugs of 1.9.

Just wanted to comment on this: As the upgrade to 2.x isn't free, we felt the need for the 1.x customers to produce a version that could finish up that line of development properly. I know it took quite a lot of time and unfortunately, fixing one showstopper produced another one in a couple of cases which lead to delay after delay.

Things will get better in 2009, at least as far as Mamba is concerned. Apart all work on Mamba, I'm still proceeding with the auto-update system. If your PC has internet access, you won't even have to visit a web site to get your update. It will appear auto-magically on your hard drive and install next time you launch Mamba Black. A future version of Mamba will present you a registration dialog for this feature, just to make sure nobody gets surprised and possibly annoyed by the background processes. You will be able to choose if you want update notification emails or have Mamba download its updates automatically or do no automatic updates at all... It's not completely finished but will appear soon.

Updates will also be released much more often, around once per month. Just have a look at the humongous changelog to get an idea of the amount of work... I'd rather have small changelogs more often for the future.

By any means, continue work on the mambablack.com project. It's not wasted effort, and speaking codewise, I'm eventually getting to a point where I can put a lot of more focus on feature requests than bugfixes! I already put some goodies into the new 1.96 I'm currently rolling out, hope you like 'em!

Evening All !
Just ran to get me dongle and auto load the lastest update...... nothing!!
Have checked the update box to zero, but have noticed that the checking for updates window has not been coming up for a while?
Am i looking at a re-install or am I doing somethin wrong??
