    Default pangolin qs question

anyone know what the blue flashes from the led on the qs interface mean ??
i have my qs setup on a wireless network with a belkin usb network hub
and somtimes i get a load of blue flashes and quick show crashes

i suspect it means errors ??

FYI, I have so far failed to get the FB3 working on a Belkin (wired and wireless). Its fine for a while but when you get a disconnect, it fails to reconnect and with LivePro it freezes the PC requiring a restart every time. QS was no different.

I wish you the best of luck but I gave up eventually, it was just too flakey for my liking for a live environment.

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Blue Light means there's something wrong or someone tried to hack the unit. In your case the former.

You need to contact Bill as I'm unsure if your unit is faulty or if its just the wireless unit screwing with it.

I would bother contacting Bill, I had numerous dialogues about the Belkin in particular, the result of which was basically 'you're on your own, best of luck'.

Him and Alexey did say that the Belkin was one of the better units but they'd had very similar experiences when they tested USB device hubs.

<snip>...nobody at Pangolin has ever gotten a USB extender to work. And believe me, we've tried!! We've tried at least a dozen separate USB extenders. Perhaps two dozen. Some work partially, some don't work at all.
Belken is a great name brand, and we did have one user who successfully got an FB3-QS (I am not sure if you have a QS or not) to work at 20K, but no faster...<snip>

You got lucky, I had to resort to 120m of ILDA runs.

It's not too bad now I've got over the cost factor which turned out to be not too bad using Lambdatek
