RE: "line-generating optic" - LOL! - how many DOZENS of different gratings this could mean! - slightly-broad term, eh? But, armed with this, and your great close-up pic, I will check with them and let you/everyone know my findings... IF they have any, I'll snap them up, and bring the report back to base... - ciao

I know it's a terrible picture, but if you look closely at this thumbnail you'll see what the original item looked like. (It's the square metal block near the top in the middle, just below the stepper-motor pairs.)



I'll see if I've got a larger picture somewhere... But if you look close you can see the pendulum weight that hung down from the think. (It's pointed at around 1 o-clock in the picture above) The grating was mounted in the exact center of the thing.

These pictures are 6 years old - sorry. I need to update my homepage, I know. (No time!)
