    Default MG 58-BLD-605 collimatior?

    So I bought a working Melles Griot 58-BLD-605. A 400mW 457nm laser. It'll be here Wednesday. This one is a dual beam model. I was wondering if anyone had either the collimator assembly from Melles Griot or knew where to get one/how to make one. From my understanding the divergence is about 5mRad. I believe the collimator may be anamorphic prisms and then a correction lens. Id anyone has one laying around. I would be happy to buy it from you!

    Cool

    Phil;

    Post the serial number of the unit you lost (if you know it). That way Laser Ben can check it against the one he has. Though if it is your laser, I think Ben would be wise to try to get his money back from the seller first... (The guy in possesion of the stolen property is normally the one that looses.)

    you want the colliminator that recombines the beams?

    The MG I have is a single beam. I know they have them, and I think I have the spec sheets and diagrams of it. I'll look and see.

    Hey everyone!

    This laser is amazing! The beam is perfectly stable and even at 12mRad divergence, the beams are visible. Moreso then a 500mW Green! The color is really nice! I hope to be able to get a collimator. What should I pay for one. Casey Stack wants about $500 for his.

    Also, would you consider $2k for a 2.5W MG 532nm with a replacement diode from Melles a good deal? According to Melles, The only thing needed is installing the diode!

    the MG diodes are fiber coupled and they are a BITCH to install and realign.

    There's gonna be a LOT of 532 MG and 457 MG lasers hitting the market soon. seems a lot of them are starting to fail, their time is up i guess.

    Check the model on the laser and see what you are getting for $2k you can come pretty close to a NEW 2watt laser with probably MUCH better beam specs now. Most of the >1w raw 532 MG have deplorable beam specs.

    That's what I heard. I guess it would also to have something much smaller and that is directly modulatable as the 2.5W I'm thing of is not.

    Hello!
    Have found the old beam combiner incl. the homebuild telescope (whatīs put direct on the laser inc. the Beam combiner) and make a Beam of ~4mm ~0.7mrad!
    I donßt know what the waveplate is, but I think its complete, incl. holder.
    If you are interested tell me
