    Cool

    Hey Paul;

I'll be available to help schlep your laser gear into the venue all day Friday if you want the help. Aaron said he'd be able to help as well. So that's two slaves, I mean helpers, you can use for the day.

I agree that a copper vapor laser is out of the question. Surely we'd set something on fire in that small room. Likewise, there's no need for more than a few watts of power. A mixed-gas rig would be mighty interesting, considering all the extra lines you can get. But an argon pair inside one of your multi-turret tables would be damn cool as well. (Is there enough single phase power to run an argon pair?)

It's your call dude. I'll help you move the stuff either way.

    Adam

    PS: "Buff Job"... LMAO!

It will be great to see you again dude! I've added you to the master list.

Paul is planning to bring at least one large toy. Maybe more if we can talk him into it. Plus we'll have several RGB projectors on display. It's shaping up to be a hell of a meet!

On a totally unrelated note: I've blown up both blue-ray diodes I got from you. (Damn, but they're fragile!) Got one to lase for a few hours, but blew it up while tinkering with the wiring to shorten the package. The second one didn't survive it's trip out of the PS3 module.

Anyway - got any more you'd like to sell? Would love to get a pair pre-mounted in Axiz housings. (I've even got the housings...) Got a couple 660 nm burner diodes I wouldn't mind parting with too. Send me a PM if you're interested in a swap + cash deal...

how bout that gonzo effect wheelee box you put together- we could throw that up too
HaHaHa! It is quite ghetto, I think even more ghetto than the lab grade super optical alignment putty from allthat's projector!

Brining the 2W argon and table will be great! I was thinking maybe we could set it up in the front of the room, perhaps next to, or below the screen?

Hoooow about 2 projectors, 2 argons, 24 turrents and 4 scan heads?? good enough? ahhahhh haaaa haaa ha haa ha!
    Thats awesome, can't wait!

you guys keep saying large, but the 2 watt argons are babys. like I said I could tap 3 phase for 5 watts or more- but you know we just dont need it- if you doubt that refer back to the flem video clips- how many video cameras did we smoke on that anyway
    LOL

DZ - that effects box is no more ghetto/old school than my beam tables, what- did the warden throw it away or something? and you just dont want to tell me about it?

You haven't seen it then! I put together a real nice compact effects box over 2 years ago. I used just a red and green solid state laser. I didn't really like how it turned out, so I just took it all apart and shelved just about everything. Them SELEM came, so I threw it together with a ton of parts I had laying around, this time with a hene and a dying argon. It makes some nice effects, but its way too big, very unprofessionally built and rather clunky. Here is a photo of the original that I built a while ago with some of the effects:

Sorry to hear that Marc... Hope your leg gets better. (Surgery is a bitch, but the physical therapy afterwards is worse!)

Keep August 15-16 free this summer, and maybe you can make it to SELEM 2008 in North Carolina. Meanwhile take care of that leg, and get well soon! We'll take lots of pictures for ya!

    Hey guys...

Just learned that Hayden Hale will not be able to attend. He's going to be out of town (he leaves that morning), so he can't make it. He's sorry that he'll miss it, but hopes that we have a great time anyway.

We may have another guest from Pangolin, however. Hayden mentioned that one of their newer employees, Ian, was interested in attending. I told him he's more than welcome. So he may be there along with Bill Benner. (Bill is still not 100% confirmed... Lots of things going on at Pangolin right now! But he wants to be there.)

Also, there is a *chance* that Patrick Murphy will be able to attend. No firm commitment yet, but Paul spoke with him and he was interested in coming. Details to follow as the time gets closer and I get more info.

For those of you that can't make it, be sure to tune in to PhotonLexicon the day of the event. We'll have a link posted that you can go to and view several live webcams from the venue. We've tested the software and the links, and everything works.

We should have at least 3 cameras operating (Aaron, I just bought one last night!), and may have more depending on the bandwidth we have available to upload video to the server. All the video will be streamed from Ustream.tv, so it won't matter how many people connect to the server to watch us... (See the OLLEM thread for details on how this was set up.)

And a final reminder: After Tuesday, February 26th I will probably *not* have access to the Internet. So if you need to get in touch with me, call me on my cell phone at (843) 324-0735.

    Adam
