You include the letters in the title, often in parenthesis. Like this: "Check out my cool new laser, and all the cool things I can illuminate with it! (NSFW)" The post that followed might be a topless picture of your g/f with the ILDA test pattern displayed across her chest...
That way when you're browsing the topic list you'll know not to click on the thread if you're at the office. (And if you do click it anyway, and your boss see's you looking at a picture of some chick's boobs, well, then you deserve to get yelled at.)
Most of the larger sites (dig, slashdot, reddit) use that convention. Everyone knows that people surf the 'net while they're at work, but most bosses draw the line at porn... (Even soft-core stuff; remember that over here people are real prudes. We don't even have page 3 girls!)
