    damn...

    Any more pictures, video ?
That is something I want to se IRL !!

The funny part about the big boys with the super 40x red modules, is that after some years when we use 2x 2Watts red modules and a 10Watt green single dpss. we kan make fun of theyr funny setup with overkill of small 100mW units :P:P

Why is the final output beam bright white for only the first few inches?

In reality the beam is probably brighter since it doesn't look like time lapse.

Arctos spec them at almost 30w un-balanced, 20w balanced -

    2x 8w 532nm = 16w green
    12x 445nm diodes = 6w blue
    48x 650nm diodes = 7.5w red

It's a setting in the software.

I cant stop watching that picture......

But when I think about a laser that give you almost 30WATT output in Radiation !
And you know how DAMN dangerous that 200mW green laser is to you eye.

I would think that a dude that old (I know some of you is ..ehm.. that old ... ok not old, but maybe experienced user) he should know that bending over and look directly into the 48X beams + 2 ultra high power green beams must be very very dangerous ???

(is that man on the picture drunk and actually blowing sigar smoke on the laser?) :P

:Sorry for some bad english spelling, I`m still learning:

Can someone please enlighten me on something?

In this pic, is it cubes or mirrors being used to combine the diodes? I would like to try a small version of this with red diodes, but am too fascinated by the picture, and still a tad confused...

    Thanks guys

thats a combination of cube and grazing incidence. each cube is only good for 2 polariations, then you need gazing incidence after the cubes, then dichroic cubes or plates to combine the colors.

If you search arctos as assignee name at the patent server the drawings are there.
IMHN its not novel and should not of been granted a patent, but the USPTO is the lazyiest , sorryiest institution on the planet right now.
