    Default RGB getting closer...

Some pix of the progress so far..

It all works so thats great.

Still got to to do the sealing for the Optical side. Maybe fit a vent or two at the front with filters for air intake on the optics level.

Have run it for quite some time doesn't even get warm. Lots of aluminium in the case. All of the lasers and the power supplies cam fitted with fans.
The whole assembly slides out for service.
The top optic table lifts up and everything can be unplugged in seconds for fast repair.
The case is a standard 4RU road case.
Yep I know not all the safety features are on it yet but they are on their way even though we don't have CDRH stuff down here we have to be responsible or we will get it.

Will post final pix soon I hope.

    Cheers

Holy crap that is nice! I would say that is the most professional projector yet on the forums that I have seen.

Yes, that looks very nice. I just added a blue laser to my scanner this past week and I need to redo my entire enclosure. I might use some of your ideas.

Why do you say that? I would venture to guess that was very easy to align!

    Cool

Probably because there's no vertical adjustment in the laser bases.

I'm assuming, however, that Ray actually machined custom shims for the bases of each laser to get both the beam height *and* the beam angle relative to the base plate correct. If you get the machining right, then alignment is a snap.

But if you're off by even a little, you'll never get your alignment right.
It's a case of measure twice (or even 3 times) and then cut once.

Very nice design though. It almost rivals DZ's work of art. (Almost!)

Yeah that is beautiful, please share more pictures and some pictures of it running if you have them available.

Adam, I would agree, it looks like the galvos and the Maxyz module have been shimmed up to match the aperature height of the green and blue lasers.

    Again... very nice work!
