    Default Burn this

So you guys like to burn things with lasers eh?
Here is a picture of a shoe we burned onto a 4x8 piece of plywood.
This was for a project we did for Nike.
We used a 20 watt argon laser for this one.
During the project we also used a 40 watt yag laser. The argon burned better.
It took around 30 seconds to go completely through a hollow core door.
I am the guy on the right.

oooh... almost tricked me into going to myspace From what I can make out of the smaller image here, it looks like it would be fairly cool to see.

But I agree with Dave here too... But I'm not going to lie. I used my new Laser-Wave to burn through party cups and paper and fun stuff like that for a bit... also to show how fricken dangerous it is!

yeah, but that isn't a laser pointer - it's a laser pointers BIG BAD ARSE-WUPPIN DADDY!!

here's one of our LS40 (Clients' system) KTPs punishing a wall for being very naughty...(yeah, it left a slight 'mark'!)

PS - NO, it did not 'cut the chair in half', but I can tell you for sure, you would not want to be at the 'business-end' of this ~48W - when you focus this thing down to a 'point', with like a 200mm acromat, (YES, WITH GLASSES ON!!! ) as it is cutting thru nearly WHATEVER you put in front of it, you can HEAR the Q-switched pulses 'singing' as they vaporize...Even Vader would think it was cool!

    cheers...
