LSP has this 400 mw Laser Wave unit for $1000 US ($1145 australian = $1000 US)

Or you could contact David Wu at Lasever and see what he could do for you for $1000. (Might get a little more power, but, well, you know...)

If you use 1k USD to get a 400mw 532nm green, that will be a real 400mw +++. If you want to get a 500mw, that will be very concede, and maybe you will complaint that's 500mw ---

For me, < 500mW is good. I've been talking with Betty at S-KY about a TEC solution. Don't know the cost yet, but I hope it doesn't frighten me.
