I'd like to thank----
I'd Like to Thank John, Jason, and Cheri at the Boonschoft Museum of Discovery in Dayton for their kind hospitality in helping me with my "Data Recovery" project. And PL user wingsnprop for setting up the introduction.
The above mentioned have been absolutely stellar in welcoming in a stranger and helping him use a 30 year on piece of gear.
BTW, if your ever looking for a good planetarium show, and your in Dayton, stop by.They have Digistar, full dome video, and laser.
The 40 minute duration, 64,000 by 64,000 pixel resolution Digistar II production, entitled "Digital Amusement Park" is worth the trip.I would not hesitate to tell somebody to drive 300 miles to see it. Its done on a crt known as a calliograhic display, which is a vector art form like laser. You get to do all your favorite big amusment park rides, with no waiting in line for 40 minutes a ride, set to music. Some of the virtual coasters in this production would kill you if thy really existed. And yes you feel the onset of the thrilling motion and gravity that comes with a good park ride.
Again, thanks Lady, and Gentlemen, for your help and tolerating my hauling in 100 pounds of gear and my doing 12 hour days on weekends.....
Steve
