Default How close to the optics?

    Hi guys and gals,

I'm new here but have been searching and reading for a little while now. Loads of useful info to be found. Thanks.

I have one question that I hope one or some of you could help me with. I've got a set of Laserworld LW-45 scanners and a 250mW greeny with analog modulation. How close can I mount the laser aperture to the scanner mirrors (hitting X first)? Can it be any distance or are there problems if its too close?

    Thanks again.

as long as it doesn't hit the scanner mirror you can mount it as close as you would like.

    hey chad,

thanks for your reply. thats what I was thinking but I just wanted to check. I want to leave enough space between for a mechanical gravity solenoid shutter to fit in place.
This should allow my optical table to be pretty compact then.

    Thanks again

    Rich
