    Hi

    I'm a member of laserfreak.net.
For blue I also use 22.5 degrees.
The dichro was sold as 45 degrees.
I got my dichros from Linos at Germay.
The dc_blue is optimal for 457nm at 45 degrees
but the 473nm we, most use ist not as good at 45 degrees.
    Look at the diagram.

The mirror I use for reflecting the blue dpss is silver Coated,
for best results. At our freakmeeting in Regensburg I used
my old blue 70mW CNI. With the Konstellation on the picture
I lose 8 mW the whole way: One Mirror, two dichros and the scanner.
Perhaps Mr. Benner saw my Equipment at Regensburg.
But you lose more green at 22.5 degrees.(No Problem >300mW is enough)
Now I have 400mW blue (great)

Looks awesome Nohoe! What wavelength red do you use?

    Thumbs up

Yes, very nice! Part of me wants to say there are two reds there. The top one looks like it is deeper that the one from the side...

    Hallo

What wavelength red do you use?
...looks like it is deeper that the one from the side...
The red wavelenth is 658nm and there are 6 of these diodes.
    (2 x 3 diodes combined with a polcube)
    The single diode has 180-200mW.
I think the combined power is nearly 800mW red.

It's not so easy to take a picture that shows the power.
This picture was taken from laserfreak MNCreative at Regensburg 2007.
There are many other available on my private website.

    Very impressive setup!
I see that you have TEC's mounted underneath the diode mountings, what kind of TEC are you using and are they regulated or set to a suitable fixed current?

    Hi Norbert,

You have a very nice setup, i've admired it before on the laserfreak forums. Also I've been wondering where you get the bronze mirrormounts and tec controllers. Can you share that information with us?

    best,

I am willing to bet the TECs are not really 'regulated.' They are likely just on with a voltage supply that keeps the red diodes cool enough.

I have to say that is very impressive! I like it! I was hoping to do something like that with my red.... not sure what I am really going to do yet. My latest thought is about 1watt of red the way you're getting it and then with a 635/650 dichro add in another 635nm. But I am sure that will all change in a matter of a day or so anyway.

BTW I was checking out the pics on your site. Very nice, I am jealous.

is there a part on your site that has more pictures of your projector? I would like to see more. I could probably find it, but the language barrier is difficult for me.

You've got a nice Zorro pattern going there with the beam paths. LOL

    Hallo

Also I've been wondering where you get the bronze mirrormounts and tec controllers.
Can you share that information with us?
For 3 month I was also looking for those holders.
Then I told it a friend who is working for a metall company.
He produced them for me private.
Also the aluminium cubes for the diodes.

The peltier elements are 1.9 Volt 3A Types. I put 3 in row with a 5 Volt powersupply.
The driver I used was a changed diodedriver for DPSS lasers with TEC
The temperature was hold at 20 degrees Celsius (build by Laserfreak Guido Jaeger).
For 6 diodes 6 peltier elements and 2 drivers.

But I don't use the peltier cooling now.
I had some trouble with killing diodes because of a driver problem.
Each time I changed a diode I killed a peltier element.
There is so much aluminium for red,
that there is no need for cooling them.

is there a part on your site that has more pictures of your projector?
Not for the aktual layout of the projector,
but I will make some new in the near future
and will post them under the Kategorie Projektors.

Most of the text on my site was written for German Laserfreaks.
When I began the site I never thought
that there would be so much viewers
    or also international viewers.
It began with some pictures about my first RGB projector.

I hate myself, that I made no pictures before that.
I'm playing with lasers since 1988.

mliptac, it's also hard for me to write here because my school english was not the best.

Haha, you're English is far better than my German!

So you actually do regulate your TECs... hmmm

I know blue and green need precise monitoring on the TECs but from what I hear and have experienced red diodes like to be just as cool as possible without condensing.

BTW the diode mounting blocks look nice, I am thinking about having something like that made. Except I was thinking along the lines of one block machined for 4 red LDs and the hardware to combine. So there would be mounts for the mirrors and PBS cubes too.
