snap me too just stated on mine this weekend
that project red looks just soooooo nice i want
Btw... That red diode stack was a project of Phillip from LaserFreak.net.
More pics can be seen at the bottom of this thread.
Phil is also a member here d3c1x.
It is a very nice project. I have a PM from him somewhere that told me the focal lengths he used. Let me try to find that...
well all i really need is some type of lens and aixiz is was to small

I cant find the exact PM, however if I recall correctly the focal lengths were F-120mm and F-30mm.
But that is a subjective idea since there is no right or wrong with lens' here... at least thats what I gather. Everyone has their own ideas as to what is right and what isn't.
Wow, I was just drawing up diagrams last night too!
He used achromat lenses and the losses were pretty high. I'm considering using lenses form a microscope 10x eyepiece, but the losses again will be higher than with a dedicated beam expander in reverse. Also there is a question of power density handling.
Maybe the three of us could pool together some of our ideas into one to develop 3 different and way better than what they could have been red lasers. I was thinking 18 lasers for me to make a 3x3 square configuration. That would give me a resultant beam of about 8-9mm or so square with some losses on the mirrors. Then it wouldn't be very hard to reduce the beam much futher than that, and with minimal increased divergence.

im thinking of using 5 reds and no cube. just straight into a lens
