I've never seen that video before but it is pretty nice. I don't know who the music or the laser show is by. Sorry.

Ah, I found it, its from "Allthatwhichis" I knew it was from someone on the forum. :-)
The music synchronization is really nice, I hope that the FB3 software can also do this. I'm still waiting on my rgb lasers![]()
My software can do that sort of thing but not as easy as it used to be. Right now I only have the wave form view that shows the audio wave form. You can use the peaks of it to know where the beats are and use those to align the animations on the time line. But, the waveform doesn't always show what you need. In the past I provided the ability to play the song and tap along to it on the mouse and it would add markers to the time line that you could use to align your animations. I'm going to add that back in eventually. I took it out when I redesigned the timeline to have multiple tracks.
Synchronizing the music and audio is the hardest part of it all in my opinion. I can listen to a song and easily envision a laser show to go with it. And, creating the animations is not very difficult for beam shows. But, taking the time to get everything aligned is very tedious and time consuming. So, I want to be able to make it easy to do that as much as possible. But, I know that I am far from there now.
In the software that I use, you can tap keys on the keyboard to mark beats, just about each key coorresponds to a different color marked on the timeline, which is nice.In the past I provided the ability to play the song and tap along to it on the mouse and it would add markers to the time line that you could use to align your animations.
Yes, I agree, it can be very tedious lining things up on a timeline. Having a timeline that is very responsive and has no lag is nice, so you can make quick changes. Also, the ability to zoom in on a timeline to be able to align things up to a milisecond is nice. Another nice feature is being able to create a "start" and "stop" within a show, so you can click play and it will only play the selected part of the show, over and over so you can make sure things are lined up just right.Synchronizing the music and audio is the hardest part of it all in my opinion. Just offering some tips, hope they help...
Those are good suggestions and I'll definitely add support for all of those in the future. Well, maybe not resolution to a millisecond but at least down to the frame level (~30msec).
Hi Carmangary,
I have now un-installed Spaghetti, did a registry clean and re-installed Spaghetti.
I chose a folder with only a few ILDA files and all seems to work OK.
Yes I like the little animated icons, that's neat.
Still means I have to use another program to view each file and then move them according to the content to an appropriate folder before I can point Spaghetti to it. What would you recommend for the maximum number of files in each folder for Spaghetti to process.
Need an option when creating a Project to NOT have an Audio file. It insists on having one at the moment.
Are you going to add the Mamba Black USB interface in the Hardware list ?
Other than that please keep up the good work, it is appreciated.
Andre
The number of ILDA files depends on the size of the ilda files. I don't have a feel for it. Just keep it small for now. I'll bump up the priority on making them load faster.
Yea, you are right about a project without an audio file. Another thing to add to the list.
I don't know anything about the Mamba Black USB DAC. If I can find an API for it and the necessary DLLs to distribute I will add it, though.
Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it.
Your most welcome on the feedback, as for the Mamba stuff, I can help you out there as the CD comes with the relevant info.
There is a.pdf file that talks about writing your own .dll I have put it up here if want to have a look.

There is a zip file available from the medialas website called MambaBlack driver archive, I have uploaded that if you want to have a look at that. It's 3.98MB.

There are also zip files of the MLD drivers that came on the CD, but I don't think they will be of any help and I am not sure that I can distibute them, so I have not.
Hope that is enough info.
Cheers
André

Thanks. I didn't think of it at first but I guess I can just write a generic "Mamba" driver that should make my software work with any of the .MLD drivers that works with Mamba.
There has been a lot of feedback lately. My to-do list has gotten kind of long. I guess I better get going on it!
