    Default Seeing double

    My blue has two beams rather than one. Is this normal?

    I Didnt see it before....Never seemed to be this fat iether....could I have damanged the lense?
    Each beam is about a milimeter wide, and there is just under a milimeter between them...

    Is this cool?

    sadly lasever is the same, it needs about 15mins to warm up before it goes.

    its called mode hopping

    Really Andy? well that's not so bad (relief)....I'm going to leave it running for a while and see if it goes.

    I can see two dots / beams in the graphic thast displaying so its a problem if it doesnt dissapear...

    Hi Graham

    This quite often happens with DPSS lasers, they start off in TEM01 mode and then switch into TEM00 mode once they have warmed up and stabilised. It's nothing to unduly worry about, it's when they stay in TEM01 mode, as my green has done recently, that you start to worry

    My CNI blue was doing that and I thought I had bought a really expensive "lemon"!!
