    Default ishow dac

i got this software and dac woth the laser, but no instructions and a psu with multiply voltage options for the dac. could anyone tell me what it should be set on the option are 4.5v,6v,7.5v,9v or 12v.

also if anyone else has used this dac and software did you have problem getting it to work,if so what was the problem? i ask as i have tried the voltages at 4.5v and 6v and cannot get any light or any movement of the mirrors. in fact the laptop seems to see the dac, but there is no indication that it see the the projector.

any help would be great, as i am struggling to get help from the supplier and would really like to use this for a show the weekend.

    cheers dean

    Hi Dean

Who supplied you with this software ? Was it recently ?

I didn't think it was still being supplied.

Please post an image of the dac , and i'll see if I can help you.

    Hi Dean

On reflection ,I'm sure the dac operates at 12V.

first of all i would like to thank you both for your help. i have found the problem across r,b,g - there was a blob of solder and across the x,y - another blob of solder, cleared it off now it works. but it seems to cut alot of the object off, with the projector 3m from the wall i seem to be getting a square frame about 400mmx400mm, is this right?

it all seems to be working fine now but could you just look at the pics and confirm that it should be running on 12v.

so how are you getting on with ishow? i got it recently and im finding it hopeless for making shows. are you able to play most ildas or do they skip through them in a fleeting glimpse like on mine?

I definitely had the same problem with iShow.. it would scream through all of the frames in a show and it seemed as though there was nothing you could do to correct the problem.

I sold mine on eBay and am ordering an FB3 eval kit, although Mamba Black is certainly tempting, but I need to be able to triggered my stored shows via dmx...so that swung me to Pangolin.
