The software that comes with the FB3 Card can sync music to the time line. ShowRider is the one thast does it.

Someone in another thread just told me how to do it....

    Heres how...

    Open up show rider.
    Make a new show
    Save the new show
Then go to file / properties
Under the ' media' tab select 'Syncranize to Winamp'
It will then offer you a browser window to select your MP3 file. DO so.
Then it will ask for hte file path to Winamp itself...browse and find it/
Then it will ask you if you wnat to make the length of the show the same length as the track...its up to you...

Then when ever you press play both the lasers and music we be present.

Havent actually tried this yet but there you go.

How about live-audio-sync? Did I miss something?

I know I could do it with DMX (through my DMX controller), but I don't want to relinquish computer control over my FB3 in favor of pre-programmed material to accomplish this.

I haven't had too much time to play around with LA Studio, but since that and LiveQUICK can control my FB3 so quickly, it stands to reason that there's some way out there I could gain the capability to cue the laser material based on a mic input. Am I correct in assuming this is a feature usually available in a more robust laser-show program?

    Hi,

Although I haven't tried it, I believe there is a way to allow sound triggering thru the expansion port on the DMX ad on board..

If that functionality works without replacing the USB connectivity, that sounds hopeful. (my FB3 *does* have the DMX daughterboard, but I don't use it for anything presently)
