Indeed I did Karl - Tufnol is a loverly material to work if you can get over the rank smell it liberates while working it - the dust can be a nightmare too - slow speeds are essential! I had not used tufnol for 20 years and the smell nasty as it is, brought back some memories of my first job.....ahh halcyon days....
Last night I unsuccessfully made another test pin in ally - the smallest one at 1.6mm. For reasons that I fully understand (engage brain before commencing) it ended up as a mangled mess - but this is the whole point of the excercise to work out the best ways to make the bits. Now I need to make some simple tools to help me make that little pin and the ones in brass will come out just right.
Now I cant wait for the brass to arrive

Hey Andy.
It looks like i've got my ticket for the meet. After making some mod's to my laser harp I got to set it up tonight for testing and I'm pleased to say the harp is working fine. That just leaves you Rob (Stanwax) to get your white 168 back in action. I'm sure you'll get your ticket sorted in time.

Do you know if the venue has available several 30A 230V tap off's Rob?
I will need a good 20-25A to be safe and I know for a fact you will need a little more than that
I suppose as long as it has a CU we can get too we will be OK.
We could perhaps do with knowing the type of CU it has fitted so we can come armed with suitable MCB's for the day![]()
