Wouldn't it be neat to have a video conference link between SELEM and the UK meeting?
The 6 hour time difference might be a little of a bother though.

James, I think the UK meeting is happening on a different weekend than SELEM. Otherwise, that would be neat! At the last meeting in Orlando, FL, we had a few webcams setup for some folks from around the world to log in and see all the shenanigans. Seems to have worked out fairly well, there were some audio issues, however, we have things somewhat perfected to do the streaming much better from SELEM this year.
Yeah, we got the audio issues sorted now. Assuming we can get the wireless signal to work inside the auditorium, we'll be broadcasting live for the duration of SELEM 2008.

Our live webcam was all ready to go at UKLEM but I couldnt get into the router on site to allow us through the firewall - as we may be at a new venue (or rather WILL be at a new venue) in August we will have to see if there is an internet link available and try again

Good news. The new venue is available on the the 10th Aug
I need to confirm a few things still, and there maybe a small fee for security and cleaning , but it won't be much .
