    Default animated gifs and traceit

    Hi
I`ve been playing around with a copy of traceit, after Bill kindly got me going (thanks Bill). The problem I`m having is animated gifs. Traceit wont display the gif in the file list unless I set "display all files" and then when I load it I get an error.

All the documentation says it can do gifs. Can anybody help???

    Thanks
    Martyn

    Cool

Does it say that it supports animated .gifs? I didn't think it did.

You may need to load the pictures into a photo editor and save the individual frames of the animations as separate images first, and then convert each image to an ILDA frame.

    thanks

    Code:
There is no difference inside internals of TraceIT for different files formats. At first all source images converted to 24bit bitmap, and all other procedures are the same for all types of images. That is mean that JPEG, GIF or BMP will be converted by the same rules.
I took gif to be an animated one. I`ll try a static one.

    Hi Martyn,

I actually thought TraceIT supported Animated GIFs, because it supports AVI files and such.

Anyway, send me the file and I will take a look.

    Best regards,

    Hi Bill
I tried a number of different gifs. attached it the Bart Simpsons one.

I converted it into an AVI using gif creator pro, and then traced it .

Traceit is Great by the way.

    Thanks
