    Default Pangolin LivePro and touchscreen

    Hi,

Just want to share with you.
After a while I dig up my touchscreen and tried it with Pangolin LivePro.
I was amazed!!! So easy to use LivePro now! Just a little touch on the screen, and laser project it SO EASY!!

Name of touchscreen: LG 17" LCD L1730SF.

I recommend this to all LivePro users!

Have you considered using a tablet PC? They are the mobile version of touchscreens. I think it's only a matter of time before all laptops are tablet PCs, because it's such a useful thing.

Now, I just received a new laptop today (Thinkpad X61s). It's not a tablet PC, but I was very close to buying one. I'm actually considering buying a large tablet PC as well. They are probably very useful for laser shows. You can for example draw new graphics directly on the screen. They are also becoming more and more available and don't really cost a fortune anymore.

I use a 17" (Iiyama/Hampshire Technologies) touchscreen with my LivePRO setup. I also had my setup at the UK meet, I reckon it's an absolutely essential piece of kit for doing live shows.

Touchscreens are definitely the way forward. I use mine with a Widescreen LCD in dual mode, then control the cues by touch and the pots and faders by MIDI. Works really well....

We recently purchased a lasershow performer for use with LivePRO. These work great for live work. I really dig the illuminated keys lighting up green if a cue has a pattern in it, and flash red when the cue is in use
