Talking Days I Love My Job !

    Like today.

A few days ago , while Karl and Rob were visiting , one of my customers dropped in a dead laser projector for evaluation.

It was , in fact a Tarm Junior . We had a quick look at the beam table and plugged in the diode box , but no joy

Today I had a few minutes and took off the scruffy laser housind to have a look and see what was inside.

Please see below what I found 4 watts of Jenoptik green .

All that I have to do now is get the beast going !!

Any info on the diode would be welcomed.

    All the best

    Cool

Trouble is, if you fix it, your customer is going to come and take it away! I suppose it would be fun to play with it for the short time it will be in your shop, but I think after a while it would only serve to tease you... (Assuming you get it running in the first place, that is. Those fans look like they've collected enough dust that you could grow plants on them!)

Funny. I used to work for Jenoptik and didn't even know they had lasers.

    Mark that looks sexy!
Now I wish I had gotten your tools and insisted we opened it up on Monday

I hope you can get it to work as that would be a beastie - some pix of the beam table would be good as that was quite nice too.

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.
