    Damn!! I waz looking for a jet- flight sim just the other day.. I should have known to look here 1st

    Version 8.6 is pretty good, but the graphics in 9 are amazing, now let me qualify that. When I used it, it was running 4 displays, 1 for the cockpit, 3 DMD based projectors on the dome.
    So 3.3 megapixels, runing on 5 quad-cores with the most powerful non-military Nvidia cards available. The joysticks were 10 bit, which is the secret of improving the flight model proformance. With that kind of power, just about any sim runs fine, including 2004.

    HOLY CRAP!!

    that is a serious computer system! if you have all that and its still "quirky," then i dont think it will run very well on my system.

    2gigs ram. dual core pent. lots of HD space (4 now...about 1TB) pretty decent nvidia card. i think 7300 le. not top of the line or anytrhing, but it works well.

    i would love to try it out, but it may get too pissy runnin on my system!

    but after i just read all of YOUR specs on your computers....

    yeah, im throwing the towel in! you kidding me?? lol....

    im running a calculator compared to most of you!

    Oh come on, my laptop is a 200 mhz PI and my home machine is a 700 Mhz PII

    the quadcores are at work, and its only quirky on the home machine :-)
