it does matter, cos the second beam is hitting the back of the mirror.

if i make it so it misses the mirror there is a 2-3mm gap between beams.

To expand on what Dave said if you make the mirror mount that is closest to the exit aperture the one that is furthest away from its respective laser the mirror thickness will not be an issue for you.

Andy I have to ask - what diodes are you using?
    ive got 2x 200mw diodes and 2x 300mw diodes.

ok i wont get 1watt but i should be able to get around 900mw

I think you can connect Phritzler on this forum. He does really a good job on combining red.

    Jep, it is
I canīt say much to your red builing, or better, I canīt say more than :
You should make better holders , where you have more room to adjust. And the mirrorsize schould be thinner, so take 1mm mirrors or so on, so you have much better beam.
If you use thick mirrors you have more place between the beams, so you havenīt a good beamdata.

    Phil

Andy the other thing you can do to stop the mirror problem is to stack the beams vertically instead of horizontally ie on top of each other rather than next to each other. That way the angle of the mirror wont matter and the corner of the first mirror wont interfere with the beam of the second laser.
