    its hard joining reds.





    where can i get some thin mirrors, anyone?

    i need to make some new adujstable mirror mounts

    I would have used a couple of PBS cubes to tie 2 beams on 2 lasers. Then duplicate that with the opposing pair of lasers. Then only use one mirror to combine the two 1/2watt beams. You will have less losses and easier alignment.

    If you mount the mirror mounts correctly, mirror thickness wont matter.......

    To expand on what Dave said if you make the mirror mount that is closest to the exit aperture the one that is furthest away from its respective laser the mirror thickness will not be an issue for you.

    Andy I have to ask - what diodes are you using?

    Hi Andy

    i can see the biggest problem is in the polorisation .....

    if you check you mounting block ... the wood grain is running in the wrong direction

    Yeah Phil is a good guy - I am sure you have seen the pictures of "project red" if you haven't just run a search for it.
