guys just enjoy the show, dont pick holes in it LOL

    Hi all,

Yes, a very beautiful show. Obviously a Pangolin user, from the looks of the graphics we include.

I will do some poking around and see if I can find out who did the show.

    Best regards,

    William Benner
    cheers Bill

    Cool

Almost has to be a DLP. If it's raster, then it's *damn* good. Like, mind-blowingly good. Guiness book of world records good, even.

But given the height of the image and the complete lack of visible scan lines, I'd say it's got to be DLP.

    Still, a nice show.

Not only does the laser show look impressive - so do the photos on their website.

Awesome find, Andy - too bad Youtube's compression ruins everything.

As far as the raster video, I'd have to say it's either a DLP or LCD projector. I'm guessing this as the light seems to terminate at the screen and not penetrate it like the lasers do. Large format video projectors, the ones that run around $25,000 still use three LCD panels - I've repaired a number of these large four lamp projectors...they're huge and heavy - loaded with 30 cooling fans, but are still tens of thousands less than three chip DLP projectors. Huge three chip DLP projectors start around $150,000! Yikes!

I'd hate to see what all that chlorine does to optics.

    Hi,

Paulo did some research into this show, and found that it was done by RT Laser in Slovakia. They are a long-time client of Pangolin and in fact, I think we even used one or two of their pictures in our main LD2000 brochure...

    Yes, they do great work.

    Arrow

It's a small world (or maybe just mine is).
I was just flicking through some Vangelis stuff when I came across "Titans" off his 2004 album "Alexander"
"Hello!" thinks I, "I know this one"
It was a track on a water park laser show.
Now where the hell did I see that?

Now I've just spent the last 45 mins searching youtube for it and racking my brains about where I saw the vid and it was here all along.

For any new peeps that haven't seen the show, take a gander.

Ministry do some awesome shows. Up there with Hugos for brightness vs not blinding the audience!!!

    Some seemingly impossible audeince scanning.

Take a look at the Ministry page for some other shows, I think I've downloaded them all at one time or another and some are truly fantastic:

Unfortunately I usually rename mine so difficult to recommend the files but from memory the Seiko, Praha and Tiesto shows are all good (albeit Tiesto needs a little contrast dialling in to watch it back as the video came out a little light looking at the dark areas).

Edit: Actually just looking, they taken some of the videos down now so only 2 to choose from I think.

Ive seen that video alot of times, its mind blowing!

I also pickup on the "raster" scanning, and was really amazed that a laser could do that, now you guys have ruined it and said its a projector. Pfft

Now that I watch it again, I can deffinately tell its done by projector and not laser.
