Default 3DSMAX to ILDA Video Tutorials

Is anybody would be interested in video tutorial:

Converting 3DS drawings/animations to ILDA in COLOR!!
without using expensive Protize Max or Max converter.
    Software used:

Electric Rain Swift 3D Max (can get for 200$)
TraceIT. Free with Pang (250$ standalone)

I just need to know how many people would be interested before I do it.

Can't find a good video server to upload first part. Youtube sucks. Tried
    dailimotion....quality sucks too.
    Here is dailymotion copy
    http://www.dailymotion.com/DrLaser/v...-tutorial_tech

I'll upload full quality version to my server soon. It's about 89MB

It is my first tutorial ever! So there are few screw ups because it was done on the fly with no script or anything. But it gives you idea for tutorials to come. I'll do probably 3-4 more to show what to do and then you can go from there.

    Hi all,

Just as a point of comparison, take a look at this video:
    http://www.pangolin.com/LD2000/lc-max_videos.htm

The great thing about the "expensive" converters is that you can work with lasers in the very 3D environment in which you are creating the scene to begin with. Conversion is instant.

Back when we were developing LC-MAX, we tested Swift. Also tested it for a few years since that time. Although these guys wave their hands around and claim that their renderer is fast, it is actually the slowest Non-Photorealistic Renderer that I ever tried (LC-Max is the fastest).

Don't forget that there is a far less expensive way to go, even less expensive than what Doc suggests. Our LC4D plug-in for Cinema 4D is absolutely free for BASIC and PRO users. And Cinema 4D is perhaps 1/6 the price of 3D Studio MAX and most people find it easier to use.

    Best regards,

    William Benner

Hey hey I didn't start on a complicated animations yet!
And another thing people have other brands of laser controllers not only Pangolin. What you are suggesting that you need to buy a Pangolin before you can enjoy free stuff. What about making standalone versions of Max converter and Cinema 4D? What this series is for is not to hit on Max converter or Protize but how to render to ILDA with stuff that available to anyone. It's not perfect but get a job done. And done well.
