I am plagued by the 2 inch long Giant tree roach AKA palmetto bug. I have seen and heard of numerous studies of exposing the common german cockroach to nuclear radiation. Has any member experimented with pulsed laser attacks on said vermin?

A word about pest control , that falls into ASPCA territory, recently we have in Texas been plagued by the good old pigeon, but in particular the blackbird AKA gracle. Many companies spend several thousands of dollars a month washing down store fronts with power washers of bird lead ,putting up fake owls, making multiple rounds during evening roosting to use air horns and lights to drive them off to no avail. Well apparently an industrious man in Dallas, Texas has devised a solution, he has been using a trained Harris hawk to make repeated forays into the masses of unwanted birds and it would seem that after about 6 courses of these birds they decide that it would be best to move on. Could we not after removal of unwanted bystanders put on our trusty goggles and do similar vermin control, blasting`pigeons or blackbirds into temporary or permanent blindness, probably not the risks are just too high and just like our local walmarts who longer carry glueboard traps after their stores were picketed by those concerned over the cruel deaths of mice and rats, we would receive very bad press. Of note a group of local persons was caught under highway bridges at night collecting the pigeons with nets on poles and lights when asked what they were doing and not arrested as it posed no criminal violation they admitted catching up to 500 birds a night for sale at $2.50 each to outfits in east Texas who were running live skeet shooting operations.
