Hi Andy,

Basically, you want all grounds to meet "somewhere", ideally, at some single point within the projector. Next weekend I will draw some pictures that will illustrate what happens when you have multiple grounds in the projector.

Anyway, whether that ground happens at the beam table, or at the power supply does not matter, as long as all of them meet one single place.
