Default PHOTOS - yes im back in action!!!

after sending it to pangolin to be tuned ive not even tried animations yet!!!

fingers crossed tomorrow my other red wil come and i will be fully RGB!! only got 300mw of red at the mo.

ive missed my scanner so so much, is that sad?! i was so excited to get it back up and running.

first thing ive notied, is the image is now twice as big which is great, but does mean i now need to make my hole twice as big. i can only play the size at 30% otherwise it hits the sides.

Is your image twice as big because of the re-tuning or because of a change of connections?

    Cool

Actually - both. Differential signalling will increase your image size as opposed to single-ended signalling. I ended up with exactly the same phenomenon when I upgraded my scanners from the DT-40's to the DT-40 Pro's. At first, I tried moving my optical table closer to the front of the projector to get the scanners closer to the window, but even so I could only run them at around 35% or so. (Any larger and the pattern would miss the 4 inch square aperture window!)

As it turned out, I was scanning *way* wider than necessary anyway. So I turned down the input gain on the scanners, and now I can get up to nearly 80% before I get large enough that I miss the window entirely. I could tweak it some more, but this is good enough for now.
