hehe! No, not my projector, it belongs to the infamous Mr. B. I'm just jazzing it up a bit. What the hell is that shitte? I KNOW that is not your projector...
Oops, I missed the before and after pic reference. Sorry Adam... I didn't realize it was that bad.
What do you think about pouring a pedestal out of potting compound after getting the laser aligned. Do you think this would provide long term stability or just be problematic.
What in Gods Creation that looks like the Oklahoma bombing scene!
I'm having trouble imagining how that many wires could be necessary. I'm sure they all serve a purpose, but I'd believe it if someone told me they rewired that thing 4 times, but never took out the old ones.
ha! I shoved a bundle of wire in the projector before I took the photo as a gag. I'll have some better before and after photos in a few days.
In my single green projector, I mounted my green CNI up to meet the galvo mirrors, using the floating platform method. Except I didnt use any other metal under the laser, it remians cool enough sitting up on 4 washers by itself. I can raise and lower the beam, by tightenting or loosening the back bolts. Its a simple solution, and it works, but if you have lasers that generate alot of heat I wouldnt recommend it without some good cooling, like the heatsink in one of the above pics.
