    Default Lasers In Performance

As I am a new member I thought some of you might be interested in what I do...

I am 23 and studying my Masters in Digital Performance in South Yorkshire, Doncaster, UK.

I work with dancers, actors, DJ's, and composers to devise and/or help develop interactive, intermedia performances. Myself I am very much into the visual side of performance. I use graphical media and create anything from interactive wallpapers to interactive motion tracking driven elements within a performance.

This video was a recent project, (somebody did actually ask what laser we were using!) this project was for my MA and the patch was done by myself an a friend.

However I would like to share a few interesting links that I have discovered along my travels... they are:

    http://www.frieder-weiss.de/video/events.htm
^ A friend of mine who has used interactive lasers in performace frieder is so clever, he's the developer of EyeCon, one of the best motion tracking software available.

    http://graffitiresearchlab.com/?page_id=76#video
^ A interesting way of using laser pointers!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L64-nqZsgjo
^ VJ crustea sing lasers for 'mapping'

I will add more when I find them.

Hope this is interesting to some people of the forum.

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.
