    Thanks duck

I will get them shortened mate, tonight

Have also found a nice box to house the NEOS driver in and it will be fan cooled although I need to find a good scource of fans as I haven't got any
I borrowed a 'saw hole' from work to cut the holes into it for the fans and will be mounting the driver over the PSU inside, plugged and socketed outputs will be mounted into the sidewall. The air will flow inbetween the driver and PSU from one side to the other. Should keep it cool.

The NEOS is all in it's own fan cooled box now with the PSU under the driver and the Galvo driver board has been fitted to the beam table.
Rob's dual analogue driver board for the 2x reds will be mounted, 5V regulator down, just behind the red modules with the regulator using the beam table as a heat sink.
Next on the agenda is to fit a backplate to mount the Galvo PSU, taking a feed from it for the 2x reds, and wire the Galvos. I then need to start making connecting leads to mate all these bit's together.

    Hi Jim

I've been following this thread from a back seat for a while as it's been very interesting watching your progress. I've not delt with Argon lasers for years my self but once had a SP 161 488nm doing about 15-20mW from Laser Tech. Felt quit chuffed when I completed building the PSU for it and seeing that blue beam for the first time.

Anyway the reason for this is my curiosaty about the PM desk from Cham Tech I spotted in one of your photo's. Is it a PM21 or PM25. just got a PM25 my self 2 weeks ago. I would be happy to hear that it's still in working order. Any chance of you bringing it to the meet?

    Hi Carl.
You can't beat a bit of the old gas can you

It's a PM 21 http://www.chamtech.demon.co.uk/PM21.htm and yes it will be with me at the LEM. Unfortunately though it came with an ALC60 set up from George Duff @ Chamtech which to date, since the last LEM where I purchased it from Simon (P1tbull), I haven't found time to sling a set of scanners and the colour control board back into it so at the moment all it is doing is enabling the ALC60 to actually operate by means of controlling the shutter feature. OK I could wire a link it but too busy messing with the 68 at the mo.
If you have something to hook it up to at the LEM then you are more than welcome to give it a whirl as I would love to see what these Chameleon units can do.

The laser it came with (ALC60) when it's all mounted in it's case, looks like the one in the photo here: http://www.chamtech.demon.co.uk/PM23.htm

    Hi Jim

If the pin outs on the 15 way D socket are the same as PM25 then it should work fine on my projector I've got under build at the moment. would be nice to comper the two desks in action.

It's one of two of them actually and they are Garret TV94 Turbochargers that are part of a twin turbo jet engine with afterburner that I am building. There is also the turbojet kart, that's in the webpage, at the back of the shed too.

Had a day off work today to concentrate on getting some sort of scanned white light output by the end of the day.

    It happened!

The beam pic not brilliant as it was outside, the smoke machine was in the shed and the bloody outside security light kept coming on whenever I moved but it's a start. The colours are awesome!

The long grey plug and socket/wire, on the backplate, goes to the NEOS.

    Better pic's to follow - I promise

    Hi Jim,
Been following this thread with great interest. Brilliant work!! Has given me the idea to have a go myself with my gas beast! Could you answer the following for me:

    1) Any idea of the make or origin of the power supply for your NEOS? Mines up the creek and needs replacing, but seems abit pricey from original manufactures.

    2) What output are the red diodes?

    3) Any chance of a top down pic of the beam table when the systems running?

    Keep up the good work!

    Lex
