    Here's a link with VERY extensive information concerning the connections on the FB3:

    Page 1 should answer most of your questions - it gets rather "deep" on pages 2 & 3

    Finally got the laser, have not tried on full power. How many Amps is max? been up to just over 1A and its very very bright! =)

    But I have some problems with my projected image..

    Here is the test setup:

    My first problem:
    The image is way down to the left, should be central to the screen.

    Do I loosen theese screws and turn the galvos or is there another way?

    And my last and biggest problem so far:

    I think the image is mirrored... how do I fix this?

    Is there anyone that has the pin out shematics for the FB3 (red ribbon cable thing)
    It should be connected like this:

    FB3-X+ -> Scanner amp X, +
    FB3-X- -> Scanner amp X, -

    FB3-Y+ -> Scanner amp Y, +
    FB3-Y- -> Scanner amp Y, -

    Ground on both scanners is connected to the 0V/common on the powersupply together with FB3 ground wire.
    Same result if scanner ground and FB3 ground connected together, not connected to anything else.

    (With the FB3 Ground cable not connected to anything or to powersupply FG the galvos is making very strange movements even when FB3 Blackout.)

    There are a few ways to move your image. The best is to loosen the screws and turn the galvos as you said. It is also possible to adjust the position potentiometer on the scanner amps, but I would advise against it.

    As for the "mirrored" image it is inverted on the Y-axis. This can be adjusted in the software settings, but it is probably best to fix it in the hardware. The fix is simply to connect Y+ of the FB3 to Y- on the scanner amp and Y- on the FB3 to Y+ on the amp.

    The pinout of the FB3 cable is ILDA standard on the DB25 end and the pinout of the red FB3 connector can be found in the manual.

    That is a damn sexy laser you have by the way.

    The laser is sitting on a moving head box in your living room. Yep, you have the sickness as bad as I do

    Thankyou for replying.

    I fixed the image by inverting the Y scanner amp (jumpers)

    I was a bit dissapointed about the sound to light function in LiveQuick
    I tested to run the projector in DMX mode yesterday to test if my dmx controller wich has an audio iput would create the efect I'm looking for. WOW!
    Me thinking DMX would be slow/delayed control was really amazed how fast DMX really is.
    That made the projector that much more amazing.
    Conected an audio signal into the dmx controller and started programming some steps, just moving an animation around using X/Y position
    The animation jumps to the next step instantly and right on the beat of whatever music I play.
    I will really recommend the FB3 DMX mode for amazing beamshows!

    Will post video of dmx control this weekend (Hopefully later today)

    I now have a new idea for the enclosure,
    How about using an Moving head, removing all the internals and build the laser inside the head?
    On top of a building you could then sweep 360deg
    Since I don't want to destroy my working moving heads, does anyone know of empy moving heads for this use?

    The Chauvet Multi Mover might fit the bill.

    Thats a great advice!
    I have now looked at this and the Chauvet Stage Mover.

    Stage mover:
    Cheaper $370
    Pan/tilt
    maybe to small to mount projector
    problems getting power and com to the head part.

    Multi mover:
    More expencive $599
    Only Pan
    max load 50kg, future RGB projector will fit.
    built in dmx from base to head.
    can probably use built in phono contacts for usb comunication.

    Will probably go for the Multi Mover you suggested.
    Tahnk you!

    I just ordered the Chauvet Multi Mover.
    Everywhere I look the price is $599 even on Ebay and they do not ship world wide.

    Then I found this site:
    Bulbamerica, they ship world wide and the price is $399!

    I think that's a nice choice. You can also use it with a video projector should you want to in the future.

    Please keep us posted as to passing the usb signal over the rca's... I may be interested in doing a setup like this myself.

    I did some filming yesterday.
    Nothing advanced, just a few frames moved around by dmx.
    Using the audio input of the dmx controller to get sound to light.
    Laser is running about 25%, I don't have a laser meter, but by standing in front of the projector (3m distance) its just butiful, you dont feel its to bright.
    Its a lot more pain looking into a 575w moving head pointing right at you.

    But could it be harmful even if it you dont feel blinded at all?

    I tested it on my vorspiel yesterday before going out to town.
    Let me just say the lightshow at home was alot better than out there =)
    And as you probably know, the color and the beams are like a 100 times better in real life than on a movie clip.

    here is the movie:
    Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyeUGLNWCRc&fmt=18
    File: vorspiel video clip (beams look alot better than youtube) 45.8Mb
