the english word your looking for is perch, ie he built a cat perch as object, the bird perched on the tree limb, as a verb.

My faithfull "helper" Willow - who if she is not getting enough attention will sit on my keyboard! She is very disdainfull about lasers - her brother will chase them endlessly - she just looks at the point of llight then looks at me as if to say "Do you really think I am that stupid" David
