Co2 in a small confined space can also be fatal as it induces a collapse (heart attack?) at high concentrations, thats why CO2 fire extinguishers always carry the warning "don't use in confined spaces".

That said, this is really a warning to others more than yourself as if you own a sizeable nightclub the levels will probably never reach dangerous concentrations unless you do a lot of fogging, won't make for great breathing though as it will lower oxygen levels.

As others have said though, a smoke machine might prove a better bet as then you have access to a whole variety of different smoke liquids with different densities and dispersal properties. There seems to be a trend towards water based liquids at the moment as they claim to leave no residue but I'm no expert.

This is one of the best smoke machines I've seen demo'ed but then again I'm haven't seen serious commercial equipment and don't own a machine:

Claimed output is 18,000 cubic feet per minute!!

    Another outside demo!!!!!!:

    Company: http://www.gvgdiscolighting.co.uk/pr...oke%20machines

Just to be clear, I have no connection with either the GVG or the company selling these.

    Lightbulb hazers

JEM Smoke..... part of martin .. everything from big to small.... and there is nothing wrong with using a fog machine to generate haze as long as you use the correct fluid then there is no issue ....

    try www.martin.com

as for cracked oil hazers certain people like myself are allergic to the haze they produce.. ( the last time it put me in hospital with an athsma attack)

Yeah there are some Gem machines on Youtube. Nothing looked as powerful as the GVG. Jem are quality though.

    So, that's about 500m3/minute. Jem ZR-33 does 1000m3/minute

I'm using the ZR-33 for the larger lasershows/outdoor shows. Works like a charm!

the roadie X-Stream is around the 5000m3/min and it will produce a nice haze output if required

We have a smoke machine known to us only as 'scary' it a smoke machine, smoke machine... no hazing there, god I remember the night that one of our crew decided he was going to use like a hazer... he stopped when the bar staff had trouble seeing the money in front of thier faces

Lots of smoke machines will do haze as well although I guess it improves thier retail attractiveness altho I do think personally they should be kept as seperate devices, I dont think a hazer should be outputting haze im plooms of smoke,

We got an Antari Fazer, it's actually really good. You can make it shoot clouds of fog, or a relatively gentle haze. It also has a nice timer so we can set it and forget it. We've had bad luck with American DJ and Chauvet foggers in the past- they are very badly made.

CO2 generated fog/smoke is indeed thick, not very long lasting, and lays close to the floor, just like some other people have mentioned...

The best thing to use for making lasers and lighting more vivid would be a hazer, I would think... One of the oil cracking kind... They don't produce a heavy visible fog, rather a fine mist of aerosolized particles.

Regular glycerol based smoke machines could work too, but their output is thick as well. The smoke dissipates faster than hazer output does too...
